Can you hear God’s Voice?

Did you ever hear of…

A small group of disciples huddled in an upper room waiting for a promised gift?

Four men in an old schoolhouse in Kells crying out to God for a Great Awakening?

Two old dears in a cottage in the Hebrides pleading for rain to fall on the thirsty ground?

One man who skipped lunch to pray on Fulton Street and believed for a revival in New York City?

A slave boy minding sheep in the wilds of Mayo crying out for the blessing of the land of his captivity?

All of these heard His Voice and through communion with God became gripped with His burden for lost souls. In that place of groaning and travail, the Holy Spirit prayed in them. It was actually a prayer that originated in the mighty heart of God and was prayed through the heart of a man.

“In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.” Romans 8:26

Could this be the key…more than programmes and strategies and motivational meetings? Could this be the answer for Ireland to experience The Greatest Awakening that this island has ever known.
